Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ROGELE ("Rays of Grace E-Learning Environment"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

These terms apply to all users of the platform, including students, teachers, administrators, and external users.

2. Description of Service

ROGELE provides an online e-learning platform that allows users to access educational content, take quizzes, track progress, and interact with teachers. The platform includes features such as:

• Interactive lessons and learning materials
• Quizzes and assessments
• Progress tracking and performance analytics
• Teacher-student communication tools
• Subscription management for external users

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use our platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Types

• Learners/Students: Access to lessons, quizzes, and learning materials
• Teachers: Create and manage lessons, assess student progress
• Administrators: Platform management and user administration
• External Users: Trial access with subscription options

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

External users are eligible for a 30-day free trial period from account creation. During the trial period, you have full access to all platform features. After the trial period, a subscription is required to continue accessing premium content.

4.2 Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription plans with different features and pricing. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly, termly or annual basis.

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors (PesaPal). We do not store your payment information. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method.

4.4 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions prompt you to renew at the end of each billing period. You may not be able to cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or content
• Attempt to bypass security measures
• Copy, distribute, or modify platform content without permission
• Use automated scripts to access the platform
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content

6. Content Ownership

6.1 ROGELE Content

All content provided on the platform, including but not limited to lessons, text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software, is the property of ROGELE or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

6.2 User-Generated Content

By submitting content (such as quiz answers), you grant ROGELE a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display that content for platform purposes. You retain ownership of your original content.

6.3 Teacher Content

Teachers retain ownership of the lessons and materials they create. By publishing content on ROGELE, you grant the platform a license to host and distribute this content to enrolled students.

7. Intellectual Property

The ROGELE name, logo, and all related trademarks are the property of Rays of Grace E-Learning Environment. You may not use these without prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Termination

8.1 By User

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8.2 By ROGELE

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform. Termination may result in loss of access to content and forfeiture of prepaid fees.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free and secure
• Content is accurate, complete and current
• Results obtained from using the platform will meet your expectations
• Any errors will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ROGELE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or content
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for using the platform during the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ROGELE and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your content or submissions

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time.

• Email notification to your registered address
• Platform notice upon login
• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be resolved in the courts of Kampala, Uganda.

15. Severability

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ROGELE regarding your use of the platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
